Want to try gardening but don’t know where to start and afraid everything you touch will die? Me to!

Hi, I’m Hortus, a Millennial trying to learn how to garden. I did not always want to cultivate a garden. Growing up, I remember hating to have anything to do with my parents’ vegetable garden. But, now that I’m in my mid-twenties and now spend the better part of my days downtown in a cubicle, I feel the need to rekindle some kind of relationship with nature and think gardening is the best way to accomplish that. Plus I’d like to rely a little less on the grocery store for produce and take a little pressure off my wallet (and possibly add to my wallet as well).

Here in this blog, I want to share with you what I learn from books, relatives and the Internet (let’s be honest, mostly the Internet) on cultivating a garden. Don’t worry we’re all in this together; let’s see what we can learn from out mistakes (and successes to!) and become avid gardeners.

Here we go!
